My Background

I came into yachting through an increasingly common route; Water Sports
instructing. Although it is becoming a CV "stock cliché", it would still be true to say that I was drawn to the ocean from an early age, although back then it was more just having fun and splashing around on boats and boards. Making the decision to forge a career in yachting therefore certainly made sense. It’s certainly not a decision I’ve regretted; I love the work, the lifestyle and doing something each day that I genuinely enjoy.

Education

2019

Warsash Maritime Academy - Southampton Solent University

Studied at Warsash Maritime academy for my OOW Unlimited through the Experienced Seafarer route.

The course comes with an HNC qualification to which I gained a distinction and proudly passed my Orals the year after.

2009-2012

Nottingham Trent

Studied at Nottingham Trent to get a BA (H) in Politics. Having left school without a clear idea as to what I wanted to do with my life, a degree seemed like a good option. Although not directly relevant to my current career, it did teach me a great deal about how the world works!
