Water Sports

I have a long love affair with Water Sports. In fact the reason I originally started yachting was to save up approximately £50,000 to open my own Windsurfing Centre. That didn't happen - clearly, but I do still love to get out on the water and have been very fortunate to have worked on boats that have encouraged this, along with a wife who has been dragged around to some of the best wind spots in the world.

Windsurfing

This is where it all started, the beginning of the story. I became an Assistant Instructor at 16 and have worked at centres in Greece, UK & Egypt, teaching what I estimate to be, thousands of people to Windsurf.

Kite Surfing

Having sworn during my "hardcore" windsurfing days that I would never turn to the dark side, I have completely gone 360 on that promise and absolutely love kite surfing. The list of people I have taught isn't as extensive but it is definitely something I am trying to do more and more.

Sailing

All good watermen start in a boat. I started sailing when I was around 8, with a small "second hand" Topper that my father bought me... it had so many holes in it, we used to have to pull it out of the water between heats to drain it. But I loved it and will never stop appreciating the path it put me on.

Wakeboarding & Waterskiing

Being able to teach wakeboarding, waterskiing and wakesurfing has undoubtedly been the most valuable of my water sports experiences since crossing over to yachts. I have taught 100s of guests - both adults and children - and usually quite successfully I'm proud to say.
